Gary Brink was literally the leader of the pack on both Northwestern’s cross country and track teams during his running tenure, earning National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-American honors both in 1983 and 1984 while helping the Eagles win the NCCAA Division II Championships in 1982, 1983 and 1984.  To this date, Gary still owns the fastest time in Northwestern’s history for an eight-kilometer race with a time of 25:54.

Gary has set the pace in his family and church activities by way of his Christian faith.  After pastoring a church for ten years, Brink has taken up the role as a Christian counselor, utilizing his knowledge as a marriage and family therapist, college professor and church teacher.

A father of three, Gary and his wife Mary, who also attended Northwestern, make their home in Rochester, Minnesota.  In addition to his family, Gary shares his passion and love for others with those he crosses paths with at work, in the classroom and at church.
