Athletic Leadership Institute Mission
In keeping with the University of Northwestern mission statement of developing God-honoring leaders, the Athletic Leadership Institute (ALI) is designed to help student-athletes apply Biblical leadership principles gained in the context of their athletic experience to their leadership beyond Northwestern. The program provides opportunities for student-athletes explore the Biblical definition of leadership experience, assess and identify their leadership profile, and develop and apply their leadership skills both in and out of the competition arena.
Books (required) are available for purchase in the athletic office for $10
Athletic Leadership Institute Objectives:
1. Develop team leaders, including younger players who will one day serve as team captains.
2. Give athletes a chance to learn from different coaches/programs about leadership.
3. Give athletes a chance to learn from and interact with athletes from other teams.
4. Provide a resume-builder - earn a certificate in Athletic Leadership
