COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Men's Track and Field team from the University of Northwestern raced in two events on day one at the NCCAA National Championships in Columbia, South Carolina, and four more on day two.

DAY 1:

Ren Hamann (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) raced in the 200-meter preliminaries and finished 34th with a time of 23.51 , which is a new PR for Hamann. In the 10,000 meter run, Bennett Selfridge (Rapid City, S.D./Rapid City Christian) finished in 15th place with a time of 37:11.04. One position behind Selfridge, was Tyler Dueber (Bloomington, Minn./Homeschool). With a time of 37:28.10, Dueber placed 16th in the nation.

DAY 2:

Bennett Selfridge (Rapid City, S.D./Rapid City Christian) raced in his second event of the meet and finished 16th overall. In the 3,000 Steeplechase, Selfridge stopped the clock at 11:08.51 to close out his Track and Field career for Northwestern.

In the 800-meter run, Joshua Ringsmuth (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) ran a time of 2:03.64, continuing his consistent performance in the two-lapper. His time placed him 28th in the nation.

The 400-meter hurdles event was the final event for the Men's team. Ren Hamann (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) took his mark, then ran and jumped the length of the track for a 59.12 finish in 8th place.

This concludes the 2025 Track and Field campaign and the first season with Patrick Fitzgerald at the helm for Northwestern.
