GREENVILLE, S.C. - For the second-consecutive year, the University of Northwestern will have both male and female representation at the National Christian College Athletic Association Golf Championships. The Men's Golf team was chosen as an at-large selection, while
Morgan Philyaw (Jordan, Minn./Jordan) was selected as the North Central Region's individual qualifier.
The Men's Golf team returns to the field for a second-consecutive year after finishing seventh in 2025 with a three-round score of +61. This marks the first time the UNW men have received an at-large bid into the tournament, as they qualified as the North Central Region champions last season. The Eagles are averaging 302 strokes (+14) per round in 2026, led by
Carson Besonen (Madison, Minn./Lac qui Parle Valley) and
Carson Moscoso (Maple Grove, Minn./Maranatha Christian Academy), who sport matching 74.8 averages.
Philyaw is set to make her fourth appearance at the NCCAA Women's Golf National Championship, where she has earned All-America recognition each time thus far. She joined her team as an at-large selection last season, but has been the North Central Region's individual qualifier in her other three years at Northwestern. The senior is averaging 74.6 strokes per round this season, which would break her own program record if it holds. She is at the top of the UNW Women's Golf record book in every category, both individual and team.
The 2026 NCCAA Golf National Championships will take place October 19-21 in Palm Coast, Florida, at Hammock Beach Resort's Conservatory Course.
