A perfect afternoon of kicking in Saturday's 42-0 win at Crown resulted in UNW kicker/defensive back Erich Hulshizer (Casper, Wyo./Kelly Walsh) earning his first-career UMAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week award. Hulshizer made all four PAT attempts and both field goal attempts, coming from 23 yards and a career-long 37 yards out. The senior two-way player also made three tackles on defense, including two solos. A four-goal, two-assist week produced Marie Kendall's (Dakar, Senegal/Dakar Academy) third UMAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week nod this season, and the fifth of her career. The sophomore, who was also named NCCAA Women's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday, scored one goal at Crown and three at Minnesota Morris, adding one assist in each match as well. At the conclusion of the NCAA Division III regular season, she leads the nation in goals (25), goals per game (1.56), points (59), points per game (3.69), shots per game (10.94) and shots on goals per game (5.44).

Northwestern also added a pair of volleyball awards to its tally of 36 for the fall, with one mainstay and one newcomer. Ana Egge (Rapid City, S.D./Rapid City Christian) took home her seventh UMAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season after averaging 4.00 kills per set in a 3-0 week for the 24th-ranked Eagles. The junior finished the week with 44 kills, 30 digs, two blocks and an ace, highlighted by a 19-kill outing in Wednesday's sweep of (RV) St. Olaf, in which she hit a whopping .529. She also achieved a double-double in Saturday's win over UW-Superior with 15 kills and 14 digs. Egge was joined in this awards by freshman Abbie Brand (Pella, Iowa/Pella), who earned her first-career UMAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week nod after exploding for 10 blocks (0.91 per set) this week, including a career-high six (2.00 per set) against (RV) St. Olaf on Wednesday. The rookie added three blocks against UW-Superior on Saturday, and finished the 3-0 week with 12 kills on .345 hitting.
