ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced its Athlete of the Week recipients for the week of September 21-27 on Tuesday morning, and a pair of women from the University of Northwestern were among them after explosive weeks.

Morgan Philyaw (Jordan, Minn./Jordan) claimed her 12th-career UMAC Women's Golf Player of the Week award, and her second this season, after a second-place finish in a field of 198 at the Midwest Region Classic. The senior, who was also named NCCAA Women's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday, tied the program record she already owned a share of with an even-par 72 on Friday, and wrapped up the event with a final-round 74 (+2) to finish at +2 overall. She also led the Eagles to a third place team finish among 35 squads.

Meehan scored a hat trick in UNW Women's Soccer's 6-0 win over Martin Luther to earn her second-career UMAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week nod. The junior also assisted on Northwestern's lone goal in a 1-1 draw at UW-Superior. She is tied for first in the conference in assists, tied for fourth in points and tied for sixth in goals, and has the Eagles at 4-1-2 on the season and 2-0-1 in UMAC play.
