ST. PAUL, Minn. - As inclement weather forecasts continue to loom over the Twin Cities, the University of Northwestern Baseball and Softball teams' series, scheduled for this weekend with Crown College, have been postponed.
The recently-billed UMAC Baseball Series of the Week will now be played at Northwestern on Monday, April 6th (doubleheader beginning at noon) and Tuesday, April 7th (3:00 PM). Crown will still be the home team on the scoreboard despite the game being played at UNW. The Eagles and Polars were originally scheduled to play one game on Friday, April 3rd, and a doubleheader on Saturday, April 4th at Crown.
The Northwestern and Crown Softball teams will also be postponing the final two games of their series, which began Wednesday with a 14-4 UNW win at Reynolds Field. The remaining doubleheader, previously set for Friday, will now take place Monday, April 6th in St. Paul, beginning at 3:00 PM.
Additionally, UNW Softball has reached an agreement with UW-Superior on a new set of dates for last week's UMAC Series of the Week, which was postponed due to unready field conditions in Superior. The Eagles and Yellowjackets will square off on Wednesday, April 22nd for a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 PM, and Thursday, April 23rd, in a single game starting at noon.
