ST. PAUL, Minn.- The University of Northwestern Softball team has made major changes to their weekend schedule. Fans who are planning on attending Eagle softball this weekend (a weekend which is forecasted to feature some of the best weather of the spring) are encouraged to read because these changes will affect the schedule as early as tomorrow.
The UMAC series against Northland College will not take place this weekend. The three games (one scheduled for Friday, April 12
th and two scheduled for Saturday, April 13
th) are currently listed as postponed, but there is no makeup date currently scheduled.
UNW has replaced one of those games for this upcoming weekend. The Eagles will host St. Kate's at Reynolds Field on Friday for a single game starting at 4:30 PM. This is the only game UNW Softball is scheduled to play this weekend.
This will be the second meeting of the season between the Eagles and the Wildcats from St. Kate's. UNW defeated St. Kate's 10-2 in the Eagles' second game of the season on February 17
th inside the dome in Mankato.
