GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its annual Academic All-District Softball Teams, honoring the nation's top student-athletes for their combined achievements in athletics and academics. The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes outstanding student-athletes across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. The University of Northwestern had the maximum five selections to the NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team, with three of the recipients also named finalists for the Academic All-America Team, which will be voted on by CSC members. Kate Beer (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake), Mikayla Gee (Rochester, Minn./John Marshall), Lani Schoper (Madison Lake, Minn./Mankato West), Ireland Strubbe (Chandler, Ariz./Valley Christian) and Kate Trump (Faribault, Minn/Bethlehem Academy) were the five members honored, with Gee, Schoper and Strubbe advancing to the Academic All-America ballot.
