GREENVILLE, S.C. - Another strong week against tough competition has earned
Ana Egge (Rapid City, S.D./Rapid City Christian) her third National Christian College Athletic Association DI Women's Volleyball Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season.
The junior played a key role in Northwestern's 3-0 week, including opening the week with a phenomenal performance against (RV) St. Olaf on Wednesday, recording a match-high 19 kills while hitting an outstanding .529. She also added seven digs as the Eagles cruised to a three-set victory, 25-10, 25-12, 25-17. In a gritty, five-set win over UW-Superior on Saturday, Egge notched her fourth double-double of the season with 15 kills and 14 digs, helping UNW escape with a win to stay unbeaten in conference play. After a 10-kill, nine-dig outing at North Central, the Rapid City native closed out the week with 44 kills (4.00 per set), 30 digs and two aces.
Egge and the Eagles will conclude the regular season with three home matches this week, beginning with Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday, November 4th, at 7:00 PM.
