ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced its Athlete of the Week award winners on Tuesday morning, and for the third-consecutive week to start the 2025-26 school year, the University of Northwestern can claim at least three of them. Three Eagles received the honor this week, including a golf sweep--Jakob Swanson (Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview) won in Men's Golf, Morgan Eckman (Jordan, Minn./Jordan) in Women's Golf, and Addeson Jenniges (Walnut Grove, Minn./Westbrook-Walnut Grove) was the Volleyball Setter of the Week.

Swanson took home UMAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week honors for the first time as an Eagle, although he did previously win the award while at Bethany Lutheran. The senior won UMAC Preview medalist in a playoff after shooting an even-par 72, helping UNW to tie for the team title as well. Earlier in the week at the Firebird Fall Classic, he posted scores of 78 (+6) and 73 (+1) to place 31st in a crowded field. Eckman's UMAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week award is the eighth of her career and her second this season in just three weeks. She also was medalist at the UMAC Preview, winning the women's side with a score of 80 (+8). Northwestern has won the Women's Golf Athlete of the Week award in all three weeks of the season so far this year.

Jenniges is also a repeat winner as UMAC Volleyball Setter of the Week, doing so for the second time this season. The sophomore dished out 105 assists (9.58 per set) across three matches at the Trinity National Invitational, including 47 against (RV) Whitworth and 46 against No. 12 Trinity. She leads the UMAC in both assists (348) and assists per set (9.94) this season and ranks 15th nationally in both categories as well.
