KANSAS CITY, Mo. - United Soccer Coaches released its 2025 Division III Men's Soccer All-Region teams on Tuesday, and Simeon Friesen (Mounds View, Minn./Homeschool) of the University of Northwestern was among those selected to the All-Region IX squads. The junior received Third Team recognition, the second-highest of any UMAC student-athlete. He is the first UNW Men's Soccer player to earn USC All-Region honors.

Friesen had another successful season patrolling the midfield for the Eagles, converting on five goals and dishing out three assists in 14 games. The Mounds View native also had a sensational shot on goal percentage of .720, best on the team among qualified individuals. His .200 shot percentage was also the best among those qualified. In addition to the CSC honor, Friesen was named UMAC First Team All-Conference for the second-consecutive year last month.
