BECKER, Minn. – The 2025 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Golf Championships are off and running at Pebble Creek Golf Club, where the University of Northwestern Men's Golf team looks to claim its first conference championship since 2016. The Eagles are entering the tournament with good momentum, having won three tournaments this season with multiple records broken in the last week alone. Follow along with live scoring all week

Day One
The opening round of the tournament was a successful one for UNW despite a tough course set-up. The team shot 302 (+14) and sits in second place, trailing UW-Superior by just one stroke. Freshman
Carson Besonen (Madison, Minn./Lac qui Parle Valley) paced the Eagles, bouncing back from a bogey on his first hole to record three birdies and shoot 73 (+1), which puts him alone in second place.
Shane Seiffert (Corcoran, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) is tied for fourth after a 75 (+3) that included two birdies, while
Jakob Swanson's (Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview) birdie on 18, his second of the day, gave him a score of 76 (+4), good for a tie for sixth.
Carter Dilly (Henning, Minn./Henning) rejoined the lineup Thursday and carded a 78 (+6) with a birdie on each side to tie for 10
th and round out the scoring four, while
Luke Frazell's (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock) 84 (+12) puts him in a tie for 22
nd with 36 holes to play.
Northwestern will once again be in the final grouping of tee times for Friday's second round, beginning at 12:20 PM in Becker.
Day Two
Friday's second round brought about some highs and lows for the Eagles, who find themselves in third place and four shots behind UW-Superior at +36 after a 310 (+22) on day two.
Carson Besonen (Madison, Minn./Lac qui Parle Valley) was in red numbers for a bit and was the tournament's leader throughout much of the day, but will enter the final round tied for third place at +5 after a second-round 76 (+4).
Shane Seiffert (Corcoran, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) used a trio of birdies to card a 77 (+5), which puts him in solo seventh at +8 for the week.
Luke Frazell (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock) was the lone Eagle to improve his score from round one to round two, shooting +1 on his second nine and firing a 78 (+6) to move to +18 for the tournament and a tie for 16
th.
Jakob Swanson (Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview) is tied for 10
th at +11 with 18 holes to play after turning in a 79 (+7), while
Carter Dilly (Henning, Minn./Henning) moved back into a tie for 14
th at +17 following Friday's 83 (+11).
UNW will attempt to chase down the Yellowjackets in a tight, three-team race in Saturday's final round, beginning at 11:20 AM.
