GREENVILLE, S.C. - The University of Northwestern Men's Golf team continues to dominate the weekly awards circuit, as it was announced that
Jakob Swanson (Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview) was this week's recipient of the National Christian College Athletic Association Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week. He is the fourth different Eagle to win the award this year and the third in as many weeks.

Swanson is a first-time winner of the award in his first year on campus at Northwestern, although he did win the UMAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week award on September 16th. This week's honor comes after the senior tied the program record for low individual round at Friday's BLC Invite with a 67 (-4) that included a hole-in-one on the eighth hole. He tied for medalist honors with teammate
Shane Seiffert (Corcoran, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong), and the pair led UNW to the team win with a program record score of 285 (+1). Swanson followed up Friday's historic showing with a 77 (+5) on Saturday at the MLC Fall Invitational to tie for 13th place and help the Eagles finish in second.
