UNW Athletics Shatters Records on 2025 Eagle Giving Day

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The University of Northwestern hosted its annual Eagle Giving Day on Thursday, October 16th, and the results were overwhelming. The event coincided with the university's launch of its 'Amplify the Gospel' campaign, with a goal of 750 unique donors and to build upon last year's final tallies of 571 donors and $148,835 raised. Both numbers were shattered, thanks in part to a record-setting day of giving toward UNW Athletics.

The Athletic Department's goal was set at 345 donors after receiving 288 in 2024, for $58,584. The department and its 16 teams obliterated both numbers, as 493 donors combined to bless the department with $92,216 in gifts to both the various teams and the department in general. "I am very grateful and thankful for the almost 500 Eagle Athletic partners who helped raise over $90,000 toward the future of UNW Athletics," said Northwestern Director of Athletics, Dr. Matt Hill. "We appreciate those who support Compete With Purpose and want a great athletic experience for our student-athletes, fans, and coaches. The added resources that will now be available will assist us in implementing our new strategic plan - Impact Students to Impact the World."

The athletic department itself also set a goal with each team to raise at least $1,000, which would then trigger a $1,000 match from the department. All 16 teams met that mark and went above and beyond it.
