Shevchuk and Joseph Compete for the Eagles at the University of Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- John Shevchuk (Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine) and Jah'Kiing Joseph (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Heritage) kicked off what will be a busy weekend for UNW Men's Indoor Track and Field on Friday night. The Eagles' duo competed in the Snowshoe Open hosted by the University of Minnesota and will be back in action on Saturday at Bethel's Gene Glader Invite. The rest of the Eagles' squad will join Shevchuk and Joseph on Saturday. The two UNW runners stuck together on Friday night, each running in the same two short distance events. In the 60M Dash, Joseph finished just .03 seconds away from his personal best with a time of 7.26 seconds. Shevchuk came in right behind him with a time of 7.30 seconds.

The duo also competed in the 200M. Joseph, who was running the event for the first time at the collegiate level, finished with a time of 23.14 seconds. Shevchuk's time of 23.62 seconds was his fastest of this 2024 indoor season so far.

This pair of sprinters, along with the rest of the Eagles' indoor track and field team, will be back in action tomorrow at Bethel University.
