LEXINGTON, KY – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon. The Eagles received 17 votes and were the only Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) team to earn votes on the preseason list.

Northwestern is no newcomer to the AVCA Top 25 list. The Eagles once appeared on 27 straight AVCA polls, ending in September of last season. UNW earned the 2018 regular season UMAC title, but fell in the tournament championship to Minnesota Morris. Northwestern is scheduled to take on two teams featured on the preseason list including Gustavus Adolphus (no. 18) and St. Benedict (no. 25) this season.
