WINONA LAKE, Minn. – The University of Northwestern men's track & field team wrapped up action at the National Christian College Athletic Association's (NCCAA) Outdoor Nationals. The Eagles had four males qualify for the national meet including
Kyle Meinke (Victoria, Minn./Southwest Christian),
Trevor Lundberg (Houston, Minn. / Houston/Houston),
Felipe Ramirez (/Faribault, Minn.) and
Evan Pruitt (Temecula, Calif./Rancho Christian High School). Bethel University (Indiana) won its second straight NCCAA National title.

A major highlight for Northwestern in Friday action was a breakout performance by
Kyle Meinke (Victoria, Minn./Southwest Christian) in the hammer throw. On his first attempt, the sophomore threw a career best 47.36m to record fifth place overall (scoring four points). Meinke's previous best came in at 43.81.
Felipe Ramirez (/Faribault, Minn.) and
Trevor Lundberg (Houston, Minn. / Houston/Houston) competed in Friday's shot put. Ramirez finished 11th overall with a 13.74m throw. Lundberg followed up in 13th place (13.48m).
