Doering helped the Eagles to three-straight volleyball Sweet 16 appearances, including the program's first-ever trip to the Final Four in 2016.
In her final season in an Eagle uniform, Doering averaged an impressive 4.70 digs per set and posted a team-high 583 digs to finish second on Northwestern's all-time leader board in digs in a career. Wrapping up her senior campaign, Doering was also a 2018 AVCA/NCAA All-Region honoree, an NCCAA All-Region and All-UMAC selection, a CoSIDa Academic All-District award recipient, and Northwestern's Eagle Award winner.
In the classroom, she excelled, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Marketing last December.
Off campus, Doering has done missions work in the Dominican Republic, was a LDP member and volunteer coordinator, and has served alongside Athletic Leadership Institute and FCA. She has also been a helping hand at Second Harvest Heartland Food Shelf, Red Cross Blood Drive, Feed My Starving Children, Special Olympics, Sole Hope, Kathryne Pals Fundraiser, and Preemptive Love Coalition.
The UMAC will announce in the coming weeks the conference's selection for the honoree who will move on to the next pool of nominees. From there, the WOTY selection committee will choose the top 30 honorees, which includes 10 women from each division. From the top 30, three from each division will be announced as finalists in September. The NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics chooses the final winner, which will be announced this fall in Indianapolis.
