Andres Almarza (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Christian) made his first career goal in the 24th minute with a hard deep shot putting the Eagles on the board. Almarza led the Eagles in shots on goal with five.
The second period proved to be successful for Marian with two more goals from Alonso Fragoso in the 66th and 71st minutes. On the offensive front, Marian earned the upper hand in shot total with 20 in comparison to UNW's 13, but the Eagles picked up two more saves on defense than the visitors.
