Box Score ST. PAUL -- Northwestern College finished its second consecutive game in a double overtime 0-0 tie as the Eagles and the Saints from the College of St. Scholastica were unable to find the back of the net at Reynolds Field on Friday afternoon.
Both teams got several shots on goal throughout the 110-minute contest, but NWC's
Eric Bocan (Anoka, Minn./Meadow Creek) (Anoka, Minn./Meadow Creek) and St. Scholastica's Sam Reed wouldn't break. Bocan had three saves in the game, while Reed had four. Each team tallied four shots on goal.
Northwestern, now 3-5-2 on the season, moves to 2-1-1 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play. Three of the Eagles 10 games this season have gone into double overtime. NWC will return to Reynolds Field on Saturday, Oct. 1 to host Northland College in a 12 p.m. kickoff.
