ST. PAUL (Oct. 21, 2008) – Northwestern had a difficult time getting shots off against Augsburg in a non-conference game on Tuesday and the scoreboard reflected that, as the Auggies left Reynolds Field with a 2-0 victory. D.J. Wendell scored his 10th goal of the season for Augsburg, who is currently tied for second place in the MIAC. James See also scored in the game.
The quick Augsburg squad held a 12-3 advantage in shots. They also had six corner kicks, compared to the Eagles' one.
Danny King (Willmar, MN/Willmar High School) (Willmar, Minn./Willmar) had five saves in the game for Northwestern.
The Eagles (6-9-1 overall, 5-4-1 UMAC) will resume their UMAC schedule on Friday, Oct. 24, when they travel to New Ulm, Minn. to face Martin Luther College. That game will kickoff at 3 p.m.
