GREENVILLE, S.C. - At long last, the National Christian College Athletic Association Women's Basketball North Central Regional Awards are here. The University of Northwestern had a pair of first-year players represented, with one selected to each All-Regional team.

Ella Frazier (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi) was named to the All-Regional First Team after a strong freshman season in which she averaged 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.7 steals per game. The rookie was also among UNW's better shooters, hitting at a 41.7% clip from the field, 32.1% from deep and 75.8% from the line. Also a UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention recipient, she led the team in blocks as well with 18 on the season, despite being just 5'5" tall. Carli Elrod (Lindstrom, Minn./Spectrum) received Second Team honors after returning to the court for the first time since high school this year, following a track and field career at Division I Liberty University. Elrod made an immediate impact, starting all 24 games, pulling down 5.4 rebounds per game and leading the team in steals with 52 (2.2 per game). The Lindstrom native also scored 8.3 points per game and blocked 12 shots, playing as an undersized power forward.
