EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - With the entirety of its 2025 lineup back on campus, joined by some talented newcomers, the University of Northwestern Men's Tennis team began its 2026 season with high hopes on Saturday at Menard Tennis Center in Eau Claire. Taking on a pair of teams already well into their seasons, the Eagles came up short in both matches of the doubleheader, losing 1-6 to Concordia University Wisconsin and 2-5 to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Match One: Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons
CUW got off to a good start, winning the first two doubles matches by 6-3 scores to secure the doubles point. Despite it not ultimately effecting the score,

Match Two: University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointers
UNW concluded the day with a closer match against UW-Stevens Point, but the doubles matches were much of the same. Haack and Majerus claimed a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles, but Jarchow and freshman
Carsen Kramer (Faribault, Minn/Faribault) lost 4-6 at No. 2, and Petrick and
Caleb Swigart (Cottage Grove, Minn./Park) lost a tight, 6-7 (6-8 tiebreak) match at No. 3 to give the Pointers a 1-0 edge.
