GREENVILLE, S.C. - After stellar opening weekends of the 2025-26 school year, the University of Northwestern's
Marley Aune (New Brighton, Minn./Avail Academy) (Volleyball) and
Morgan Eckman (Jordan, Minn./Jordan) (Women's Golf) have been named National Student-Athletes of the Week in their respective sports by the National Christian College Athletic Association.

Aune won her award on the defensive side after racking up 14 blocks (9 solo, 1.27 per set) at the Kathryne Pals Legacy Invitational, including the 400th of her career. The senior also added 27 kills and 3.59 points per set, an impressive number from her middle blocker position.
Eckman took 7th place individually and helped the UNW Women's Golf team to a second-place finish at the Ives Grove Firebird Fall Classic. The junior bounced back from a Friday 83 to break her own school record of 74 with an even-par 72 in the final round. Her Saturday efforts also led the Eagles to break the program record for low team round with a 308, beating the previous mark by 10 strokes.
