Three Athletes Took Their Mark in the First Day of Men's NCCAA Championships

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Men's Track and Field team from the University of Northwestern raced in two events on day one at the NCCAA National Championships in Columbia, South Carolina.

Ren Hamann (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) raced in the 200-meter preliminaries and finished 34th with a time of 23.51, which is a new PR for Hamann. In the 10,000-meter run, Bennett Selfridge (Rapid City, S.D./Rapid City Christian) finished in 15th place with a time of 37:11.04. One position behind Selfridge was Tyler Dueber (Bloomington, Minn./Homeschool). With a time of 37:28.10, Dueber placed 16th in the nation.

The Eagles will continue in the final day of the Championship meet Friday, starting at 9:00 AM.
