ST. PAUL, Minn.- The University of Northwestern Men's and Women's Track and Field teams had two athletes compete in the UST Tomcat Invitational at St. Thomas on Friday. D'artagnan Johnson represented the Men's team and
Deanna Trucksess (Spirit Lake, Iowa/Spirit Lake) represented the Women's team.
Johnson competed in two sprinting events for the Eagles. He finished with a time of 13.83 seconds in the 100m dash while also running a time of 29.21 seconds in the 200m dash.
On the women's side, Trucksess also represented the Eagles in two sprinting events. The sophomore picked up a top ten finish at a very competitive meet by finishing 10
th in the 200m dash. Her time was 27.17 seconds. She also ran in the 400m dash where she finished in the top 20 with a time of 1:02.20.
UNW's Track and Field programs have been dealing with some weather related issues as the team has had multiple events canceled/postponed due to weather. Both teams are set to compete next just down the road at the Bethel Invite on Saturday, April 15
th.
