LAKEVILLE, Minn. – University of Northwestern Men's Tennis hosted University of Minnesota Morris on Saturday at Life Time Fitness in Lakeville for a conference match. The Eagles swept the Cougars for the second time this week in a 9-0 victory, improving to 15-9 overall and 7-1 in the UMAC.
In doubles,
Davis Pfaff (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) and
Collin Hemann (Newton, Iowa/Newton) swept the #1 match 8-0.
Jacob Weddle (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander) and
Eli Henderson (Andover, Minn/Andover) likewise earned an 8-0 doubles sweep in their #2 match.
Darin Rupp (Sioux Falls, S.D./Roosevelt) and
Ben Schutz (Maplewood, Minn./Homeschool) took the #3 match by default.
In singles,
Stewart Morrell (Elk River, Minn./Homeschool) won the #1 match by 6-0, 6-2 final.
Griffen Jarchow (Luverne, Minn./Luverne) took the #2 singles match 6-1, 6-0. Rupp earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at #3 singles. Hemann won #4 singles 6-2, 6-1. Schutz swept #5 singles 6-0, 6-0. Henderson won #6 singles by default.
