ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced their postseason awards for the Men's Indoor Track and Field season following the championship meet last weekend. The Eagles had five athletes named UMAC All-Conference.
Jamon Howard (Fargo, N.D. /Fargo South) was named All-Conference for two events after winning the long jump and finishing in second place in the triple jump. Howard was fantastic in the field events all season long and was one of 10 UMAC athletes to be named All Conference in multiple events.
Ren Hamann (St. Michael-Albertville, Minn.) finished out his strong indoor freshman season by being named All Conference in the 60m Hurdles event by finishing in second place.
Travaris Ricks (Brooklyn Center, Minn./Maranatha Christian Academy) is another Eagle who has a fantastic season in the field events and he was named All-Conference for finishing in second place in the long jump.
Samuel Sheedlo (Blaine, Minn. /Spring Lake Park) finished second place in the high jump and was named All-Conference.
John Shevchuk (Ham Lake, Minn.) won the 60m dash and was named All-Conference for the accomplishment. Shevchuk is another freshman with a bright future for the Eagles.
Ben Ammermann (Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield) rounded out the honor roll by being awarded the Northwestern UMAC Sportsmanship Award.
The Eagles finished their strong season by taking second place at the UMAC Championships and are gearing up for another strong outdoor season.
