RAMSEY, Minn.- The UNW Men's Golf team is getting into their rhythm now, competing in their second competition in the opening week of the 2021 fall season. The Eagles traveled to the Links at Northfork to compete in a triangular between North Central and Crown.

The Rams were the host team, and they came away with the top score shooting a 317. Crown came in behind them with a total score of 324. The Eagles were right on their heels finishing four strokes behind the Storm with a score of 328.
Junior Max Wilcox (Danville, Iowa/Danville) had a day to remember on the links. Wilcox was locked in and shot the best round of his career. He shot a 77, which in addition to being his career low score, also gave him the best round of all the golfers at the triangular, tying him with Jacob Sweeney of North Central and Titus Wookie of Crown.

Noah Johnson (Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View) was not far behind the leaders. The senior shot a 79, keeping pace at the top of the leaderboard and turning in UNW's second best score of the afternoon. Jackson Nyhus (Henning, Minn./Henning) had a strong afternoon as well turning in a score of 82. AJ Watland (Andover, Minn./AFLBS) and Luke Bogdonovich (Greenwood, Wisc./Loyal) both shot a 90 to tie for the 4^th spot on the Eagles side.

This triangular was a great chance for the Eagles to get a look at some of their conference opponents, as the Eagles prepare for the UMAC Preview Tournament on Monday, September 6^th in Becker, Minnesota.
