LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association published their DIII Top 25 preseason rankings for fall of 2021, and the University of Northwestern enters the season ranked #20 in the nation.

The Eagle's finished their 2020-21 season ranked #12 in the final AVCA poll for the season on April 28^th. Last season, UNW went 24-5 and claimed both the UMAC Regular Season Championship and the UMAC Tournament Championship. The season title was the 10^th consecutive for the Eagles and the tournament title was their 10^th in the past 13 years.
 
Northwestern opens their season on Wednesday, September 1, at home in the Ericksen Center against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The Blugolds earned votes in the AVCA poll, ranking #31 outside of the Top 25.
