BECKER, Minn. - The University of Northwestern St. Paul Men's Golf team placed second out of the nine competing teams at the UMAC Championship that concluded on Saturday. The Eagles shot 975 (+111) over the three rounds at the championship.
UW-Superior finished in first with a score of 912 (+48). Bethany Lutheran followed the Eagles in third place with a 995 (+131).
Noah Johnson (Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View) placed fourth overall out of the 46 competitors with a score of 231 (+15). Ryan Peterson of UW-Superior placed first with a 211 (-5).
Jackson Nyhus (Henning, Minn./Henning) had the second-best score for the Eagles at 243 (+27), tying for ninth overall. AJ Watland (Andover, Minn./AFLBS) shot a 250 (+34) to tie for 17th. Max Wilcox (Danville, Iowa/Danville) followed just one stroke behind Watland at 251 (+35) to tie for 19th overall. Ethan Van Hauwaert (Marshall, Minn./Marshall) rounded out the UNW scores with a 274 (+58) to tie for 35th overall.
