LEXINGTON, KY – The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced its 2020 North Central All-Region Team on Wednesday. Following a strong season and the Eagles eighth NCCAA tournament appearance,
Sydney Schwitters (Clara City, Minn./MACRAY) was named the North Central Region Player of the Year and head coach
Beth Wilmeth was awarded Coach of the Year. UNW also landed four on this year's All-Region list.

Marylyn Schroyer (Ft. Collins, Colo./Ft. Collins),
Kalley Schwitters (Clara City, Minn./Central Christian) and
Kendra Hardy (Alexandria, Minn./Alexandria) were recognized for their outstanding play this season.

Sydney Schwitters (Clara City, Minn./MACRAY)
After earning last year's UMAC Player of the Year award and being named to the UMAC First Team All-Conference, Schwitters came back ready than ever for another standout season, amidst the Covid challenges. Schwitters was named to the NCCAA All-Tournament Team this fall when the Eagles made it to the Championship game of the Tournament. The junior setter continued to direct the Eagle offense, dishing out 962 assists and averaging 11.45 assists/set to lead the UMAC, NCAA Dlll and NCCAA Dl. She recorded four double-doubles this season (assists and digs) and averaged 2.12 digs/set. Sydney has been named the UMAC's Player of the Week two times this season and led UNW to a UMAC regular season title and tournament championship. This spring Sydney was also named to the UMAC First Team All-Conference Team.
Marylyn Schroyer (Ft. Collins, Colo./Ft. Collins)
The sophomore libero had another exceptional season - recording 1,000 digs this fall, while sitting second in the UMAC (first overall in the NCCAA Dl and eighth in NCAA Dlll) defensively with 600 total digs and 6.19/set. Schroyer ranked first overall in total digs this season in NCAA Dlll statistics with 600 digs. Marylyn was named the UMAC's Player of the Week once this spring season and recorded her career high 45 digs against Mayville. This spring Marylyn was also named to the UMAC First Team All-Conference Team.
Kendra Hardy (Alexandria, Minn./Alexandria)
Hardy continued to influence the Eagle offense heavily, hammering 238 kills (3.14/set) and a .257 average on the year. Her career-best 22 kill performance came in UNW's five set loss in the NCCAA National Championship against Bethel Indiana. Hardy tabbed UMAC defensive player of the week once this conference spring season. Kendra ranked fourth in the UMAC in kills/set and in points tallied on the season with 281.5 points, averaging 3.61/set. This spring Kendra was also named to the UMAC First Team All-Conference Team.
Kalley Schwitters (Clara City, Minn./Central Christian)
Schwitters has become the offensive force for UNW this season, recording 252 kills (3.11/set). On top of the outside hitter's offensive impact, she recorded her 1,000th dig and 320 on the season (the seventh most in the UMAC this year). With 11 double-doubles (kills and digs), the lone senior was monumental to the Northwestern squad. This spring Kalley was also named to the UMAC First Team All-Conference Team.
