GREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) has announced their 2019-20 Team Academic Excellence Award winners. The University of Northwestern's baseball team is just one of 284 NCAA and NAIA programs that were recognized, including 110 from NCAA Division III.
 
To be eligible, teams must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, for the entire 2019-20 academic year and be nominated by an ABCA member coach.

UNW as a team had a cumulative 3.50 grade-point average during the season. This is now their third year in a row of being honored with this award.
