Men’s Golf Concludes Play at The Midwest Region Classic

GALENA, ILL. – The University of Northwestern men's golf team concluded day two of The Midwest Region Classic with a combined team score of 332, a 10 stroke improvement from day one. For the two-day classic, the Eagles finish with a total team score of 674.

Nick Mahowald (Watertown, S.D./Watertown) finished with the top two-day score for UNW posting a 160, improving four strokes with a second day 78. Noah Johnson (Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View) claimed the second spot, shooting an 85 in day two for a 167 total. Coming in at the middle of the team was Tyler Hurley (Bloomington, Minn./Eden Prairie), who improved one shot with an 87 to post a 175 score. Trevor Woyda (Hammond, Wisc./Saint Croix) was right behind Hurley, tallying a 176 with the help of a four stroke improvement 86 on the final day. Wrapping up the Northwestern team was Max Wilcox (Danville, Iowa), who improved a whopping 14 strokes in the last round to shoot an 83 to post a tournament score of 180.
