ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Northwestern women's tennis team welcomed Minnesota Morris to St. Paul for a conference dual on Friday. The Eagles picked up their fourth straight win at home and improve to 10-9 overall, 3-0 in UMAC play.

The Eagles started Friday play with three doubles wins.
Gracie LeBrun (Pine City, Minn./Pine City) and
Mafee Rinta (Hudson, Wis./Hudson) outlasted their opponent at no. 2 doubles in a tight 8-7 (7-2) tiebreak win.
The Eagles took five of six matches in singles play, falling only at the no. 3 spot when
Gracie LeBrun (Pine City, Minn./Pine City) lost in a close third set tiebreak battle.
Nikki Paskewitz (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) dropped just three games at no. 1 singles,
Emily Knight (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) recorded a 6-2, 6-0 win at no. 2 and
Bridget Zappe (Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview) lost just a single game in her no. 6 singles victory.
Northwestern will return to play on Wednesday, April 24 when they welcome North Central and Bethany Lutheran for a pair of UMAC duals. First serve is slated for 3:30 p.m. against the Rams.
