ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) and National Christian College Athletic Association announced their Player of the Week awards Monday afternoon. Sophomore kicker, Blake Mitchell (Watertown, S.D./Watertown), and junior linebacker, Ethan Bush (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji), picked up honors for their standout play in UNW's win over Westminster on Saturday.

Blake Mitchell (Watertown, S.D./Watertown) – UMAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Mitchell converted two field goals with a long of 37-yards to lift UNW to a Saturday win. Mitchell currently leads the league in field goal makes with seven this season. He went a perfect 3-for-3 on PAT attempts and recorded six kickoffs for 317 yards (52.8 yds/kick).

Ethan Bush (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji) – NCCAA Football Student-Athlete of the Week
Bush had a team-best eight tackles in the Eagles' 27-17 win over Westminster College, including 2.5 tackles for loss. He also recorded a sack, forced and recovered a fumble, and recorded an interception. Bush's forced and recovered fumble came at the start of the fourth quarter when the Eagles led by just 7.

Northwestern will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 16 when they travel to Mount Pleasant, Iowa to take on Iowa Wesleyan University. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. noon – marking UNW's final contest of the 2019 season.
