Sitting atop the Central Region is St. Olaf, who the Eagles faced in early October and fell in a tough three-setter. Northwestern played two tough matches against No. 2 St. Benedict and also faced No. 5 St. Thomas this season. Northwestern defeated Mid Atlantic Region's No. 7 Stevens in a five-set battle. UNW also recorded wins over Midwest Region's No. 4 UW-Eau Claire in four sets and New York Region's No. 9 Kean in a quick three-setter last weekend.

The Eagles will look to maintain their Central Region ranking as they continue action this week by hosting UW-Superior in Wednesday night UMAC play followed by St. Mary's on Friday. Rankings will ultimately determine NCAA tournament selections.
