ST. PAUL, MINN. – The University of Northwestern men's soccer team hosted the Carleton Knights (8-1-1, 1-1-1 MIAC) in a mid-season non-conference contest. The Eagles were unable to pull together a victory, losing 4-0. With the loss, the team moves to 3-7-1 overall and remains 1-4-1 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play.
The first half was dominated by the Knights, as they outshot the Eagles 12-2. Carleton was able to net two goals, taking a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The second half was much like the first, with Northwestern failing to get much going on the offensive side of the field. Again, the Knights outshot the Eagles 10-2 and added two more goals to bring the final score to 4-0.
