ST. PAUL, MINN – The University of Northwestern men's soccer team (2-1-2 overall, 1-0-1 UMAC) played to a 1-1 draw for the second time this season as they battled conference competitor North Central University (1-2-1 overall, 0-1-1 UMAC) Saturday afternoon on Reynolds Field.

Joshua Hintz (New Brighton, Minn./Mounds View) buried a fast one at the 11:25 mark on the first half. UNW managed to keep the visiting Rams from scoring on the period, allowing the purple and gold to hold a 1-0 lead at the intermission break.
NCU equalized the score at the 61st minute on the second half, making it a 1-1 ball game and forcing the match to go into overtime play.
The scoreboard remained leveled, 1-1, as neither team was able to find the net again before the extra two periods came to a close.
Concluding the afternoon battle, UNW recorded a season-high 30 shots (14 SOG), outshining NCU's 17 shots (11 SOG).
