WHITEWATER, Wis. – For the second time in as many years, the University of Northwestern women's tennis team is in the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles – who received a Pool B bid into the tournament – will be making their second-straight trip to Whitewater for the regional.

UNW will take on regional host UW-Whitewater at 9:30 a.m. in the first of three matches Thursday. Perennial power, UWW, who is ranked No. 27 in the country, boasts a 19-7 record after finishing WIAC play a perfect 6-0. In the WIAC Tournament, the Warhawks defeated UW-Oshkosh and UW-Lacrosse 5-0 to take home the title and receive a berth into the tournament.
The Eagles have put together another historic season, as the UMAC Coach of the Year has led UNW to a program-best 24 wins this spring. UNW finished the conference season 9-1 and as the regular season co-champions. In the UMAC Tournament, the Eagles finished runner-up to the College of St. Scholastica. Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) had an incredible spring, as the senior put together an unblemished 29-0 record at No. 1 singles.
