ST. PAUL – The University of Northwestern women's basketball team moved to 10-4 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play with a 62-50 win over Crown College (1-22, 0-14) on Senior Day Saturday inside the Ericsken Center. The Eagles better their overall mark to 15-8.
UNW built a 34-21 lead heading into the break and used a 21-point fourth quarter to down the visitors.
Amy Berglund (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) led the way, as the junior finished 8-of-15 from the floor to score a game-high 19 points. She also pulled down eight boards, dished out three assists and swiped two steals.
Andrea Zimpel (Isle, Minn./Isle) found her stroke from long range, knocking down 4-of-5 3-point attempts en route to finishing with 16 points.
Taryn Tumbleson (Sherburn, Minn./Martin County West) was strong on the glass, grabbing nine rebounds.
UNW shot 34.5 percent from the floor and 30 percent from long range, while Crown hit 33.8 percent of its shots.
