ST. PAUL – The top-seeded University of Northwestern volleyball team opens play in the Division III Volleyball Tournament Thursday against Cornell College in the final quarterfinal match of the St. Paul Regional. First serve is set for 8 p.m. inside the Ericksen Center.
The Eagles (32-6) are making their eighth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance, while the Rams are in their fourth tournament in the last six years. UNW won its sixth consecutive UMAC Tournament Championship last Saturday.
Cornell (25-7) won the Midwest Conference tournament to receive an automatic bid after defeating St. Norbert in the championship.
