ST. PAUL – With Thursday's rain and unseasonably cold temperatures, the University of Northwestern softball and baseball teams have been forced to make changes to their schedules.
Thursday's home softball doubleheader with Hamline University has been pushed back to Monday, May 2. First pitch from Reynolds Field is set for 4 p.m. The Eagles will head to New Ulm Friday for a doubleheader with Martin Luther College. Game one will get underway at 3:30 p.m. This game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was changed due to Saturday's forecast in New Ulm.
Thursday's home non-conference baseball schedule with Macalester College has been cancelled. No make-up date will be scheduled. The Eagles will travel to Duluth on Saturday for a showdown with the College of St. Scholastica.
