ST. PAUL – The University of Northwestern football team heads into the final week of the regular season with an opportunity to take home the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) conference title. The Eagles travel to Eureka, Ill., Saturday for a showdown with the Eureka Red Devils in hopes of taking home a historic win from the Land of Lincoln. Both UNW and Eureka enter Saturday's contest with 7-1 records in league play.
THE NORTHWESTERN FILE
UNW comes into the weekend with the opportunity to capture the program's first outright conference title since UNW joined the NCAA. The Eagles currently are 8-1 overall and 7-1 in UMAC action after grinding out a 21-14 win over Greenville last Saturday in the home finale.
BJ Foster (Charles City, Iowa/Charles City) scored a pair of first quarter touchdowns and
Kyle Anenson (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen) added a score in the third quarter to secure the win.

Eureka matches UNW's 8-1 record with its only defeat coming at the hands of the College of St. Scholastica in September. The Red Devils held off Minnesota Morris, 14-7, last Saturday in Eureka. Northwestern defeated Eureka 31-20 last season at Reynolds Field.
