PAUL – The University of Northwestern volleyball team will meet the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the second round of the St. Paul Regional Friday night in what should be a highly-competitive match. First serve is set for 7 p.m. inside the Ericksen Center. Gustavus takes on Cal Lutheran in the first semifinal Friday.

Northwestern cruised to the Round of 32 with a 3-0 win over St. Norbert College Thursday night. The Eagles took command early and didn't let up, securing their 31st win on the year. UNW now sits at 31-4 on the year – the 31 victories are the most in school history. UNW was defeated by UWL in four sets at the Augsburg Tournament in September.
UW-La Crosse – a 23-5 team – won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) regular season title and advanced to Friday's play with a sweep of St. Thomas.
