Berglund’s Big Night at Crown Helps Eagles Win 72-43 Over Crown Storm

ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The University of Northwestern women's basketball team won 72-43 over Crown College Saturday night.

The Northwestern defense limited Crown's scoring opportunities, with 23 turnovers and no players in the double digit scoring range. Amy Berglund (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) led the Eagles with 19 points, as Taryn Tumbleson (Sherburn, Minn./Martin County West) (14), and Jessica Cole (Altoona, Iowa/Southeast Polk) (11) also proved to have a great night on the court. Berglund shot 8-for-11 in the field.

UNW shot an impressive 50 percent from behind the arc, with Jessica Cole (Altoona, Iowa/Southeast Polk) contributing nine of those points.

Northwestern will face North Central University in Minneapolis Friday night at 5 p.m.  The Eagles improve to a record of 16-4, with an impressive 10-1 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference record.
