ST. PAUL – The University of Northwestern men's soccer team fell to visiting Augsburg, 4-0, Tuesday night in a non-conference contest at Reynolds Field. The Auggies used three first-half goals to defeat the Eagles.
Barinedum Kordah scored twice in the first 45 minutes of action to lead the way for the Auggies. Blake McReavy and Ben Henry contributed a goal each for Augsburg's four goals.
Both teams fired 11 shots on the night, while UNW had seven corner kicks to Augsburg's two.
Turner Main (Kewaunee, Wis./Kewaunee) grabbed three saves in goal for the Eagles.
Joshua Fryc (Harris, Minn./Homeschool) and
Eric Fast (Eagan, Minn./Homeschool) both tallied three shots, with one of those being on goal.
Micah Mogler (Mendota Heights, Minn./LCA) posted a pair of shots, while
Matthew McCann (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield),
William Hentges (Andover, Minn./Anoka) and Sean Dennistion each added one.
The Eagles will resume conference play this weekend when they travel to New Ulm for a 2:00 p.m. game with Martin Luther on Saturday.
