ST. PAUL — The University of Northwestern women's basketball team settled the Storm in a 76-51 over Crown College Friday night. In their second Upper Midwest Athletic Conference matchup, the Eagles moved their conference record to 2-0 with the win.
Tiffany Stubbs (Ames, Iowa/Des Moines Christian) took charge with a trio of threes in the first half of the game, as UNW led 37-15 over the Storm at the break. The game continued to escalate for the women's team as they surged to a 76-51 victory over Crown.
Emily Van Lith (Minot, N.D./Our Redeemers) built momentum with three blocks for the night.
Tiffany Stubbs (Ames, Iowa/Des Moines Christian) stole the show with 21 points, shooting five for six from downtown. Stubbs was joined by
Courtney Cunard (Missouri Valley, Iowa/Missouri Valley) (12) and
Jessica Cole (Altoona, Iowa/Southeast Polk) (11) in double-digits at the Ericksen Center.
Northwestern shot over 50 percent in all categories, shooting 52.7 from the field and 50 percent behind the arc.

Aaron Kahl has led his squad to a 2-0 conference mark to start UMAC play. The Eagles will host the University of Minnesota Morris tomorrow afternoon at 5 p.m.
