Men’s & Women’s Hoops Set For Big Weekend

ST. PAUL – It will be a basketball-filled weekend on campus at the University of Northwestern this weekend, as the men's and women's teams will both host games inside the Ericksen Center on Friday and Saturday.

Friday
WBB vs. Buena Vista at 5:30 p.m.
MBB vs. Marian at 7:30 p.m.
 
Saturday
MBB vs. Concordia-Moorhead at 3 p.m.
WBB vs. Hamline at 5 p.m.

Women's Preview
The Eagles enter the weekend with a 1-1 mark, having topped Carleton College 53-48 in last Saturday's opener before seeing their comeback bid fall short (58-51) against Augsburg College on Tuesday night inside the Ericksen Center. Read more on the women's basketball team here. Buena Vista is 0-1 after battling No. 18 St. Thomas in a 94-79 loss Monday night St. Paul. Hamline dropped its season opener 73-55 against UW-River Falls last Saturday.

Men's Preview
The Eagles have gotten off to a quick start, taking down Gustavus Adolphus 75-73 in the season opener last Saturday and Hamline 81-67 Tuesday night at Hutton Arena. Read more on the men's basketball team here. Marian is also 2-0, tripping up Finlandia 67-64 and Beloit 80-72. Concordia is 1-1 after defeating Minnesota Morris 92-65 and falling to Division II MSU Moorhead, 90-82, in a tightly contested game Tuesday night. MSUM is ranked No. 9 in the country in Division II.
